The 4805 XLS Intelligent PDU & Remote Power Manager minimises the impact of locked-up routers, servers and other network devices on business-critical networks.
CLECs, ILECs, ISPs and enterprises use the Sentry 4805-XLS to manage equipment in remote sites, co-location facilities and network operations centers. They 4805-XLS eliminates the need to dispatch a field service technician for manual intervention when
devices lock-up. Using a 4805-XLS DC PDU, the network operations centre can quickly restart locked-up remote network servers to ensure that the network is fully operational around the clock.
The 48 VDC family provides immediate operational cost savings, including:

Eliminate the Need for a Separate Power Distribution Panel
The 4805/35-XLS is an intelligent unit that combines the functions of a power distribution panel and remote power management unit into a compact 2U 19" rackmounted enclosure.
Each power output terminal connection is protected by a GMT or TPC fuse. (The GMT fuse capacity can range from 1/2 to 10 Amps; the TPC fuse from 25 to 70-Amps.) A key application for the 4805/35-XLS is power distribution & remote management for a cabinet of both -48 VDC-powered servers and high-amp routers.
Measurement Features
Use either RS-232 or TCP/IP to monitor the status of key Measurement Values, or use SNMP to receive an alarm when a measurement value is out of a predefined threshold:
» Input Feed/Outlet “On Sense” – Verifies voltage at each power input/outlet connection.
» Load Sense – Provides an accurate, real time recording of the current draw, in amps, for each power outlet circuit.
» Environmental Sensors – Measures the ambient temperature and humidity in an equipment cabinet to prevent damage from hot spots and high humidity.
